Bellamy Plunders another Bounty!
Posted 13 October 2008
For the second Sunday running, Black Sam Bellamy was the toast of Germany. Following hot on the heels of Valdino’s victory in the Gr.3 Deutsches St Leger, another member of his first crop, Goathemala made almost all in Dusseldorf’s Gr.3 EBF Stutenpreis, which had originally been scheduled to be run as the Gr.3 Frankfurter Stutenpreis at Frankfurt. A narrow runner-up in August’s Gr.3 Walther J Jacobs-Stutenpreis and third in the Gr.2 Diana Trial, Goathemala is a three parts-sister to Galileo’s daughter Gravitation, who won this summer’s Gr.3 Lillie Langtry Stakes at Goodwood. Owned by Gestut Fahrhof the 3 Yr Old Filly will be retained in training for the 2009 Flat Season to compete for major honor’s before being retired to the wonderful band of broodmares at Fahrhof.
On the same day another 3 Yr old, Regisseur won his second chase in succession at Auteil, France. Out of a Top Ville mare Regisseur collected the £28,235 chase in good fashion when crossing the line being eased down with three lengths in hand.
