Desert creates a Storm down under!

The Dam of Sunline will visit out very own Desert King during the forthcoming breeding season in Australia.

Songline (dam of the 13-time Gr1-winning champion Kiwi racemare Sunline) will visit Bombora Downs-based stallion Desert King (sire of 7-time Gr1-winning triple Melbourne victor Makybe Diva & 24 other stakes-winners) this breeding season. Bracken Stud’s John Starr (owner of Songline) confirmed: "This mating brings together 2 horses, Desert King & Songline, who between them have produced 2 of Australia’s great champion racehorses & highest prize-money earners: Sunline (winner of over $11.3 million) & Makybe Diva (over $14.5 million) boast 20 Gr1 victories. They’re history-makers! I’ve had a good feeling over the past year about this mating. It just makes sense when you look at a stallion with Desert King’s proven credentials & his impeccable record of producing top class gallopers." Desert King (who covered his max. book of 130 mares in Ireland during the 2008 Northern Hemisphere season) arrived at Bombora Downs last week & Lynden Park Stallion’s Julie Nairn enthused: "He has settled in well & is very much enjoying his new surroundings. He has attracted a great book this year, including 3 amazing mares: Songline, as well as High Heels (dam of multiple Gr1-winner Desert War) Passefleur (dam of Jezabeel)."
