Pedigree

Exit To Nowhere, a Group 1 winning miler, comes from one of the strongest families in the stud book. His dam, the Group 3 winner Coup De Folie, is also the dam of the leading sire Machiavellian and the Group winners Hydro Calido, Coup de Genie and Ocean of Wisdom.
Exit To Nowhere won Deauville’s Prix Jacques le Marois (Gr 1), a race linked to so many great race horses.
As a stallion, Exit To Nowhere, has already enjoyed considerable success with 38 Stakes performers (6 Group Winners & 10 Listed Winners). These include Shaka, winner of the Criterium de Saint Cloud (Gr.1), No Slip (Gr.2), Almond Mousse, winner of the Prix Fille de l’Air (Gr 3), Boutron (Gr.3), Nowhere To Exit (Gr.3), Serisisia (Gr.3) and Svedov (Gr.3).
Such winners demonstrate that Exit to Nowhere is not far behind his half-brother Machiavellian as sire.
Exit to Nowhere’s stock have generally enjoyed a cut in the ground, which will increase his appeal to National Hunt Breeders. As a National Hunt sire Exit To Nowhere has already sired Noland – winner of the Grade 1 Supreme Novices’, Cheltenham 2006, in spectacular fashion, the ultra-tough Exit To Wave, winner of the Lighting Novice Chase, and Milligan, winner of the Scottish Champion Hurdle.
His stock have winning distances of, on average, over 10f thus making Exit To Nowhere a sire who is equally attractive to both flat and National Hunt breeders.
Standing at 16:3hh, Exit to Nowhere will not only upgrade broodmare pedigrees but also give size and bone to those who are lacking it.
On the flat, Exit To Nowhere is the maternal grandsire of Iceman, winner of the Coventry Stakes (Gr.2).
Like his brother Machiavellian, Exit To Nowhere has shown a liking to Northern Dancer. Using this cross duplicates Natalma, thus breeding to superior females. Seven of Exit To Nowhere’s stakes winners hold Northern Dancer in their pedigree. Chief’s Crown, Nureyev, Be My Guest and any Danzig line horse (eg Danehill, Polish Precedent) would be ideal Northern Dancer lines to use with Exit To Nowhere.
Mares with strains of the Nijinsky line could also be used: Serisia, a Group 3 winner is a perfect example of this. Sadler’s Wells and his sons would be another ideal match.
As Exit To Nowhere is by Irish River, such a cross would bring in the cross of Lalun, which has proved so successful with the likes of Group 1 horses In The Wings and Yesterday.
